Emily Irene VanCamp, a Canadian actress and actor, is well-known for her role as the lead in a variety of television series as well as her impressive performances in films. Both Canadian and American TV are fans of Emily Irene VanCamp. Emily began to become interested after she watched her sister Katie doing a movie. She began taking classes in acting and auditions when she realized that she was passionate about acting. The first time she auditioned was with couple of ads, and was soon selected for Are You Are You Afraid of The Dark the Canadian horror series for children. In one scene, she appeared without speaking even a single word. Her first break came at 15 years old when she was cast in the show on WB's Glory Days as a regular. Although the show was canceled after just nine episodes, Emily's acting was noticed by Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who cast her in his TV show Everwood. Additionally, a dancer and photographer, Emily was once listed as a Teen in their list of top actors under twenty. In Maxim's Hot 100 2014 list ranked Emily at 51.
