Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 at Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onesti] Romania). She was the first person to reach a flawless 10 in an Olympic occasion. Bela Karolyi later Romanian gymnastics coach, discovered Comaneci when she was just seven years old. Comaneci participated for the first time at the national junior championships and finished 13th. The following year she was crowned champion. Her first competition in the international arena was in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior competition for communist-bloc nations she was awarded three gold medals and in 1973 and 1974 she became an all-around junior champion. She took home four gold medals and one silver medals at her debut competition as a senior, held in 1975. This was her first time she participated as an adult. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first woman to perform a backward double salto as a dismount from the uneven bars that are parallel. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen, Carol Wayne began working in the entertainment business as a performer as figure skater. Along with her twin brother Nina Wayne she was part of the traveling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol started her professional career as an entertainer in her teens. She began her career as figure skater performing with her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around named Ice Capades. The show featured stage-moving ice-skating performance.
