Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in France's Puy-de-Domme on the 9th of August, 1976. She was the oldest among four kids. Since a young age, her dentist doctor parents as well as her teacher mother supported Audrey's love of theatre and drama. It was this love that trumps her first desire to be the first primatologist. She rose to prominence as a child actress quickly and achieved enormous success. The beginning of her career came at the age of 1999 the year she first began performing professionally. After her studies, Tautou took part in the French TV show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was educated at Institut Catholique de Paris, went to church when she was a child and was educated Catholic. She has now distanced herself with her Catholic upbringing. In addition to acting, she pursued modelling and was the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. A keen photographer, she created a show in The Arles International Festival entitled Superficial. The focus of her photography is famous people, the media and media that scrutinised her after her rise to fame as Amelie. Also, she has numerous photographs of herself. Audrey Tautou's global success and fame soared after her role as Amelie Poulain's lead lady in Le Fabuleux Destin of Amelie Poulain. Amelie made international waves on the screen and also won numerous awards across all over the world. It's the highest-grossing French film in America. Following this success Tautou starred in many film productions ranging including British dramatics like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday de fiancailles and moving into Hollywood through Ron Howard's direction of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code alongside Tom Hanks.
