April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began the guitar and piano lessons in seventh grade. This sparked her interest. At the age of 12, she composed her first single called Different. When she was 14 April devoted a great deal of time to making song lyrics and working on the music she was playing. Soon, April began taking trips across NY and LA with her Dad in order for them both compose songs. April began also to incorporate different topics related to some of her classmates who struggle in the area of peer pressure disabilities and even teenage suicide as depicted in the song"Take" my Hand. Lockhart is an influencer in the beauty and lifestyle industry with a growing following. She works with popular brand Ilia with whom she has a partnership in addition to being an expert in the field of lifestyle. It's true that she was born with no left hand and that is what makes her different. But this isn't the only thing about her. The profile of Lockhart on Twitter does not conceal the fact that she is disabled and does not make a point of it. What message is it sending? We all have multiple aspects of identities and that we are more than our physical selves. Lockhart has stated on video that she does not want to be defined by her handicap. She doesn't want to become a disability advocate who only talks about disability. There are many aspects to Lockhart. It doesn't impact my daily activities. I conduct doing my job as normal and have found my own methods to adjust. The same is true for me, and I believe it's something that needs to be addressed. Lockhart inspires us to keep moving forward with self-acceptance. She admits that she has gone through phases where she felt insecure about dressing in certain styles that showed her arms. Nowadays, she can wear whatever she wants. and she shares her pictures to social media. Self-love, according to her, is a process. "I don't think you'll ever get there," she said. This is a process, and I'm not sure you'll ever reach your destination. It is important to have people in your life who know and understand you. They'll be the ones who ask you: What do you fret about?
